The feminine touch

Q. The theme for my wedding next summer is hearts and bows. What kinds of accessories can my bridesmaids and I look out for to incorporate the theme?

A. Charlotte Balbier says: Hearts and bows are set to be a big trend in bridalwear for 2010, and there are some really gorgeous, quirky accessories out there to complement your theme.

To start with, you could choose a gown that already has heart or bow detailing on it, in which case, keep your accessories simple. If you would like to wear a veil, however, you can get some fantastic long styles that have beautiful bow detailing on them.

My choice for bridesmaids would be pretty hair bands with diamanté bows. Amanda Wyatt has some gorgeous designs for her new 2010 collection, for example. For something more subtle however, there are some lovely heartshaped clips available too. These are perfect for flowergirls and younger bridesmaids.
